Fourteenth Week

It is a 4 day week again. We had a math test which was okay and some english hw. We didn't do a lot of leadership activities so not much to talk about. However, we did discuss camping which I am very excited about and the bridges program. I hope we can do the program soon because I feel there is not much time left. I can't believe school is almost over. I have summer school unfortunately :/ I will really miss coop. I don't even want to think that will be over soon. I don't think I can adjust to the normal schedule again. I will miss everyone in that class. Oh we read a kids book to the class which was very funny. I wasn't very prepared but it was okay. Short week. It went by really quickly.

Thirteenth Week

This week we only had 4 days. Wow! I needed some extra relaxation days but I didn't exactly relax. I did my English hw and prepared for my bio test. I was also supposed to go kayaking but it got postponed so I had to arrange a game for the carnival. Thankfully, we had a plan in case something like that happened so there was no panic. We also had the gr7 Articulations. The first day was okay but I was still unfamiliar with the games so I found it hard to explain to the kids. They had a great time though. The next day was better for I saw the gr7 I know and I stayed at one station so I met all the gr7s and I became pretty good at explaining the game. They had an exciting time and so did I. Once we were done, we were exhausted. Fortunately, english was cancelled so we went to prepare for the carnival and had a great time. The carnival was awesome in every way possible. Next year however, i want to go as a visitor not volunteer so i can enjoy all the games, see all the dance teams and eat all the food :) When the carnival was over I went home and on my way I saw a guy dressed like a smurf. I took a picture with Smurf guy and then asked why he didn't come to the carnival like that and apparently he didn't know there was a carnival so he said he'll come next year. I hope he does, it would be amazing lol. It was defiantly a leadership week.

Twelveth Week

This week included many leadership activities. It was great. I was happy to see the gr7s again, visit their school and see the kindergarteners. We did some math but not much bio. We are almost done with math! :D I also signed up for the Chem contest. I hope I did well. I feeling confident. Hope i did well. The grade 7 tours happened on Wednesday. They were great but exhausting. Too much talking but the grade 7 seemed very excited. We showed them around the whole school but we didn't have time for the portables. :( However, I can;t wait to see them again next year. The next two days, we went to visit the elementary schools. It was great meeting all the kids and telling them about the carnival for they were all very excited. I also saw my work experience supervisor and the kids and I told them about the carnival. They promised to try their best to come. It was a good week.

Eleventh Week

This week has gone very smoothly. We didn't have a lot of work and we went to the Vancouver Aquarium. I also saw some of UBC and the students! :D It was great. I wish we could go again and I really hoped we could spend more time at the Aquarium. It went by way too quick! I visited the kindergarten students once I was done with school and realized how fast the 3 weeks went by. I really miss them :'( I hope they remember me. We had a bio test which i thought was good. So it was a good and relaxing week. good way to get back to school mode for ut felt really strange and sad coming back from work experience. I honestly had a great time and will never forget it...

Tenth Week (Week 3 of Work Experience) Part II

Thursday was the last day at school. It felt very sad. I will never forget all the amazing people I met and all the new friends I got to know. The children were the people I will miss most for I had the best moments with them. I really hope I will see them again one day and that they won't forget me cuz I certainly never will. The teacher and students made me a goodbye card with our picture on it. That almost made me cry and every one of them gave me hug and told me they will miss me :'( It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. Now I had to prepare to get back to school. I reviewed bio, finished my English homework and completed most of my online French assignments. This weekend will my relaxing weekend before getting back to all the studying and tests. I have to admit though I kinda miss school especially my awesome co-op class :) Can't wait to see how everyone is doing

Tenth Week (Week 3 of Work Experience)

This week has been a short yet memorable one. On monday, we went to a dairy farm where we saw cows, chickens, horses and other farm animals. I touched a cow but was too scared to milk it lol. Wish I did now :/ Oh and one of the kids moved. I felt sooooooo sad. I will never forget him :'( Tuesday I had my usual schedule. On Wednesday, I was with the grade 5 students. It was a nice change but I really missed the kindergarteners. When they saw me during lunch time they all came to me and hugged me and were like I miss you :"( soooo sad

Nineth Week (Week 2 of Work Experience) Part II

This week I felt amazing. Everything was very relaxing and calm. I was soo stressed about the hours but thankfully everything worked out. Mr. Hepting came to visit and the KG students asked me if he agreed to let me stay lol. That made me very sad about leaving. Time went by sooo fast! Oh and i didn't get my report card yet :/ Should go pick it up from school. Nice and calm week

Nineth Week (Week 2 of Work Experience)

This week has been relaxing. I'm finally getting use to the new schedule and not going to school. I really miss school though and I realized high school is really great. I met some gr7s and they asked soooo many questions. They seemed very excited, I made them feel more excited. I missed the free ice cream at school :( but I got popcorn and no homework :) Working with the KGs is really fun and exciting. They were drawing pictures of me that looked really cool. I can see what I look like from their point of view. Oh and I have no eyes apparently. One of the kids asked the teacher "How much I cost" so he would buy one of me and if I came out of a box. They were also playing with stuffies and one of the kids didn't have a stuffy and I didn't obviously so he asked me if he can be my stuffy. Lol they are just amazing. I don't want to leave them :'( Soo glad I worked at an elementary school.

Eighth Week (Week 1 of Work Experience) Part II

This week is getting better and better. The kids are sooooooooooo sweet and the teacher is very nice. I have to admit it is kinda exhausting having to stand all day and omg the kids are sooo energetic. It is an amazing start though. They all know my name and they keep asking me to play with them and giving me flowers. Gonna have lots of flowers by the time I'm done. Love KG students <3 And their imagination! "Do you drive a car to school?" asked one of the kids. "No, my mum drives me." I said. "But you are an adult. Adults don't have their mums drive them, they drive themselves." LOL kids logic best logic ever! Oh and another one "Why are we called human 'beans', I mean we can't eat ourselves, you know!" and they all agree with them in confusion. :D Soooooo many hilarious stories! AWESOME WEEK :)

Eighth Week (Week 1 of Work Experience)

Just had my interview! Imagined I was talking to Ms. Pacheco and therefore did great! Thnx Ms. Pacheco! Was kinda nervous but felt better after looking around the school and talking to some teachers. The teachers were very nice though one didn't seem to like me idk y, I tried to talk to her though, maybe she's just not very sociable. Oh well. Anyway, my interview was great and I was told I will work with the KG students on Tuesday. I came on Tuesday, and met all the kids. THEY ARE THE CUTEST AND MOST ADORABLE THINGS YOU CAN EVER SEE! soooooo cute. I memorized all their names so they would get more comfortable around me and two kids got me flowers from the playground after recess! It was amazing! I can't work to work with them and the teacher is very nice and welcoming. In general, I am excited to begin.

Seventh Week

This week has been a really busy one. With two math tests, a bio test and lots of english to finish since we haven't done much last week. As well, got my work placement on FRIDAY in the LAST class when the bell rang! too early huh? Thnx for all the stress. I hate to get things last minute even if they're good. I liked to be prepared and know what's coming! I called the school, having my interview on monday then starting tuesday with KG students. Nervous but really excited, spending 3 weeks with little dolls! Well glad this week is over defiantly was a stressing one! Gonna miss everyone though! OMG i can't believe it's almost june and this amazing coop class will be over NOOOOOO I won't even think about it. I don't want to :'(

Sixth Week

Spring Break is over :'( Back to school... Spring break was very relaxing and the first three days of school weren't as stressing as expected. We finished the Dead Poet Society movie which was awesome until the guy kills himself then it was just depressing. We studied math and biology and went to the lab. We went golfing which was fun except for the fact that I am horrible at playing golf. What a surprise -_- It was fun though and the best part was celebrating the fact that it went far then the good golfers make us look stupid >:( oh well... we also had the japanese kids come to the school which was really cool and they dressed so differently! Want to go to Japan now. Also signed up for the city of surrey volunteer and the girls mentorship program that just begun. Presenting it to a few classes next week. The mock interviews are also next week. Was told that I didn't get my placement too which really made me depressed :'( Stilling hoping for another placement... Relaxing week, next week will not be like that I know it! I have a bio and math test ...

Fifth Week

LAST WEEK BEFORE SPRING BREAK!!!!!WOW!!! This week seemed to last forever. We also had no field trips, a bio, english and math test and loads of homework. It was also the last day for me volunteering at the library since the session is over :( I feel like I'm missing something. I've got use to volunteering there that it feels sad to know I can't anymore till next fall. This week was stressing and sad but at least we got our Co-op shirts!! They look AWESOME! I'm showing them off  to everyone lol. Maroon was a good color even though I was hoping for black but maroon is unique. I love it. I feel like we a team now and that Mr. Hepting and Mrs. Garr are our coaches. I also can't wait for my work experience. I hope I can work in the place I want :) Not such a bad week. Some positives and negatives. :)

Fourth Week

Co-op class has become like a home to me. I really wish we had a class like that all the time. Trying not to think that this would be over soon. The provincials were out this week and I was pleased with it. We also had to present our Me projects and I got to know many new things about people such as Tanjot loving cookies and Harsheen loving to travel. Also Jaspreet thinks 'we are our own enemy' and I argued with her about how that isn't true for a long time but stopped before it got worst lol. We were suppose to go ice skating and do our resumes but unfortunetaly we couldn't. I really hope we can do skating some time soon. There was not much work this week and we left school early. Relaxing week.

Third Week

This week has been very busy for me. We went to the food bank which was amazing! I felt so proud of myself while working. I felt like I was doing something really honorable and amazing and seeing how everyone felt the same made me realize how bright the people in my class are. Haha speaking of bright, the Lord of the Flies book defiantly didn't make me see people as bright. It was a interesting yet depressing book! We didn't finish the movie for it :( We also had a bio test that week that I did great on! We went curling and it was awesome though I should get gloves next time :P However, it was a new and fun experience! Now I know how to play curling :) Awesome week with lots of trips and not much work :D

Second Week

This was my fourth week in co-op. A lot of things have changed. We are getting more biology work and I realized bio isn't exactly my favorite thing to do. We had a taxonomy test  and I didn't get the mark I was hoping for but oh well I'll try next time. We had a math test too and I did what I couldn't in bio. I was pleased. Besides studying I was excited to go volunteer at the grad transition interviews. They were amazing! So nervous for next year now but I realized I was overreacting. I also saw the man who makes our provincial exams! He looks reallyyyyyy tall and serious but he's nice when you talk to him. I could feel how the grads were nervous when they saw him though. It was funny. Great yet not a stress-free week. Oh we also had the mock trials in english hilarious and really memorable.

Co-op Experience

My experience in co-op since the day I entered class has been great! Everyone in the class is really nice including Mr. Hepting. I thought Co-op would be very stressing because of all the academic courses involved but I haven't had any stress since the end of semester 1. I truely enjoy the field trips we had since the year started. They help us to get to know each other more and have a good time while also learning in an awesome environment. The only aspect that I don't enjoy is the fact that we are in a portable. If our class was only inside the school, I don't think I ever want to leave co-op. All my friends are in this class and Mr. Hepting is a great teacher. He teaches us in an understandable and fun way and doesn't make us do everything all at once. I also feel very excited to know what we are going to do each day because we do something even more fun and interesting than the day before. I'm looking forward for this semester in Co-op Leadership. :D
